WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE A TOWN COUNCILLOR AND HELP TO MAKE CASTLE CARY A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE?
We currently have a vacancy on Castle Cary Town Council, which the Council will be seeking to fill by co-option.
This is a process whereby the Council considers applications from interested persons and can then select applicants to fill the vacancy.
If you are interested in becoming a Town Councillor, please write to the Town Council including a brief resume of no more than 250 words which indicates:
• why you would like to become a councillor
• how your knowledge and/or experience would help you in your work as a Town Councillor.
If you need information about eligibility for being a Castle Cary Town Councillor or information about the role of a councillor, please contact the Town Clerk via email at [email protected] or 07780 635013
The deadline for written applications is Wednesday 14th April 2021.
Applicants will be expected to attend for an interview prior to the Town Council meeting, on Monday 19th April. This will be a Zoom meeting.
Somerset County Council has three vacancies for co-opted members to the Constitution and Standards Committee and is eager to encourage as many applicants as possible.
