PUBLIC INQUIRY at Caryford Hall, Maggs Ln, Ansford, Castle Cary BA7 7JJ with the facility to participate virtually

The Inquiry opens formally at 10 am on Tuesday, 9th November at Caryford Hall.

Members of the public are entitled to attend and are strongly encouraged to do so. Please be respectful of the Inspector, barristers and witnesses: shouting out, booing, etc., is always counterproductive.

If you plan to attend you may want to arrive a bit before 10 am. Hand washes and spare masks will be provided by SSDC and it is expected that masks will be worn.

Doors are likely to be open for ventilation so you may wish to wear something warm. If you plan to speak be prepared to identify yourself when the Inspector asks for third party speakers, usually early in the first session. It is almost certain local residents will be asked to speak on the first day.

We understand that the event will be live streamed on South Somerset District Council’s You Tube channel:

If you, or anyone you know has a disability and is concerned about facilities at the inquiry venue, you should contact South Somerset District Council ([email protected] 01935 462462) to confirm that suitable provisions are in place.
