During the Coronavirus Emergency……….

The Cary Cares volunteer Medicines and Shopping Help Scheme is up and running to enable our older residents and those with health conditions to stay at home and not go shopping. To use it please either

Phone 01963 351362,

preferably between 9.30am and 12 noon

or e-mail: [email protected]

We currently have just one incoming line set up and it has been very busy. If you are able to email your request through, please do as it would help us reach more people in need. In your e-mail, please give your name, address including postcode, and phone number, and someone will get back in touch with you in due course and let you know which volunteer will be responding.

The volunteer doing your shopping will always contact you beforehand and will carry ID when making any deliveries.

We are currently managing to respond to all help requests within 24 hours.

This is an ever-changing situation and we will be posting regular updates to our Facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/carycarescorona/

Finally, we have received lots of offers of help and we are working to set people up as quickly as possible to assist us, whilst still making reasonable checks to safeguard our clients. If you have not received a response to an offer, rest assured we are not ignoring you – we will be in touch shortly!

If you are currently in a position to offer your services as a Shopping volunteer and have not yet contacted us, then do please email the above address with your details.
