Camelot Area u3a
The University of the Third Age (u3a) is a national organisation run by local groups. Camelot Area a3a membership is open to anyone in Castle Cary and the surrounding district who is no longer in full time employment. We meet at the Caryford Hall once a month for a talk given by a range of speakers on subjects such as travel, history, nature music etc.
We offer a variety of individual interest groups on a wide range of subjects such as Arts & Crafts, Reading and Poetry, Language skills, Photography & Rambling where members can share ideas, learn, create and improve their individual talents. These groups are run by the members and meet in a suitable venue such as Caryford Hall, The Shambles, Hadspen Village Hall or even in some of the members own homes either once a week, or once or twice a month.
We have over 250 members, many of which join one or more interest group and some just look forward to attending the monthly talk. If you would like more information about the u3a and our interest groups and maybe a membership registration form, please contact Brian Hunter our membership secretary or visit the Camelot Area u3a website

We have lots of fantastic toys for the children to explore in the safe and friendly surroundings of Caryford Hall. A snack is provided for the children and of course a cuppa for the grown-ups!
We were set up in 1995 by a group of mums who realised the importance of being able to get to know other parents, and for the children to socialise. There is no committee or one person in charge, instead the group is organised by all the parents/carers that attend.
It costs £2.50 per week (which includes fruit and biscuit snack and drink for the children, and tea, coffee and biscuits for the parents) and we are at Caryford Hall between 10 am and 12 midday on Wednesdays during term time.
If you’d like to find out more pop up and see us, or message us on Facebook by searching for Tiddlywinks – Castle Cary Baby and Toddler Group.

Bengrove Market Garden is located 4 miles from Castle Cary. Our passion is to reconnect people to their food, we do this by growing it and selling our own produce ourselves. We also stock a wide variety of vegetables and fruit sourcing from other organic farms, local and further afield. All of our produce is supplied within a 10 mile radius of the garden, either through our veg box scheme, or through our regular market stall at Castle Cary on Tuesday.
