SECOND-HAND GARDENING AND HAND TOOLS FOR SALE
ALL PROCEEDS TO CHARITY
Need tools for your garden or around the house? If so, call Tools For Self Reliance Castle Cary. We have a large stock of second-hand tools that will meet your requirements at low prices while raising vital funds for our charity.
TFSR refurbishes old hand tools and sewing machines and puts them directly into the hands of people in Africa so they can earn themselves a living. We collect our tools from public donations, but not all items we are given (especially gardening tools) are suitable for Africa, so we sell those ones instead for shipping and other vital costs.
Gardening tools we have for sale include: forks, spades, shovels, hoes, rakes, cultivators, shears, loppers, secateurs, axes, leaf blowers.
Other tools for sale include work benches, sack trucks, bow saws and electric drills. We have many other items too, so do call even if what you want isn’t on this list.
To buy tools from TFSR Castle Cary, contact us to arrange individual viewings of our stock. Please call:

Got any old tools to donate?
We continue to collect donations of tools both to send to Africa and raise funds for our work. If you have any unwanted sewing machines (especially Singer hand machines), hand tools or gardening tools, please call Amon Cohen on 01749 813239. And, needless to say, cash donations (including by bank transfer) are always welcome!

We were set up in 1995 by a group of mums who realised the importance of being able to get to know other parents, and for the children to socialise. There is no committee or one person in charge, instead the group is organised by all the parents/carers that attend.
It costs £2.50 per week (which includes fruit and biscuit snack and drink for the children, and tea, coffee and biscuits for the parents) and we are at Caryford Hall between 10 am and 12 midday on Wednesdays during term time.

Bengrove Market Garden is located 4 miles from Castle Cary. Our passion is to reconnect people to their food, we do this by growing it and selling our own produce ourselves. We also stock a wide variety of vegetables and fruit sourcing from other organic farms, local and further afield. All of our produce is supplied within a 10 mile radius of the garden, either through our veg box scheme, or through our regular market stall at Castle Cary on Tuesday. We like to grow a lot of heritage and unusual varieties of vegetable to offer our customers something a bit different as well as the firm favourites and everyday staples. All certified organic.

Classes are run using mostly CDs; for other events we call on live performers with Early Music expertise. Tutors are qualified by national bodies including The Historical Dance Society.

I live with my husband Lewis, daughter Ella who is 5 and son Hayden who is 2 years old. We have a cat called Tiggy, 2 rabbits named Lily and Benjamin and Squeak the guinea pig. We live in a lovely 3 bedroom detached house with an enclosed garden which surrounds the property. We have been locals to Castle Cary since 2007 and I attended Ansford Secondary school. My daughter attends Castle Cary primary school where I currently help with reading on a voluntary basis.
I am a bubbly, friendly person, I consider myself to be kind and caring and love working with children. Since moving into our current house I have not had a lot of spare time as we have slowly been renovating it but any spare time I do have I enjoy spending time with my family and a wide variety of sports.
I have worked in childcare for 3 years as well as having my own personal experience for nearly 5 years. My previous employment was as a nursery assistant in a nursery setting during which I undertook and passed my Level 3 Diploma in Childcare. To enable me to continue doing the job I love, furthering my career in childcare, I set up my own Childminding business.
I have to drop off and collect my daughter from Castle Cary primary school so unfortunately I am unable to offer school runs for anywhere other than here.
My business hours are from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday. I do not work on bank holidays.
I am open throughout the year apart from holidays. Term Time only is available and inset days are negotiable.
Please contact me for further information. I look forward to your call.
