The Planning Committee meets on the 1st Monday of each month at 6.30pm when there are planning applications and issues to consider. If the district council requires an early response to a planning application a special meeting is normally held immediately before the monthly Town Council meeting on the third Monday in the month. Meetings are held at the Pavilion on the Donald Pither Memorial Field during the summer months and in the Methodist Schoolroom during the winter months. The agenda for this meeting is always posted three working days before the date of the meeting on the Town Council's notice board situated outside the Market House. The agenda lists the planning applications to be considered. Currently the Chair of Planning is Mr Gabby Hayes.

Full Town Council meetings are normally held in the Methodist Schoolroom, starting at 7.30 pm, on the third Monday of each month. Agendas for full Council Meetings are published at least a week before the meeting. As soon as the agenda is available it will be posted here and on the Market House noticeboard. This agenda will remain on the web site until it is replaced by the agenda for the next meeting.
The Minutes of each full Council Meeting will in due course be posted here immediately after they have been agreed as a correct record at the following Council meeting. For example: the Minutes of the May meeting will not be posted until the June meeting has approved them.
