CROWN PET FOODS
We are using this space to keep residents of Castle Cary and Ansford updated on the Crown Pet Foods debate:
Ansford Parish Council and Castle Cary Town Council continue to have regular liaison meetings with Crown Pet Foods - see minutes below. It is still vitally important for you to ureport what you hear or smell apparently coming from the factory. We suggest you ring the Environment Agency hotline on 0800 807060. The receptionist there logs the basic details. If you give your phone number, they will arrange for you to be rung back for further discussion. They will also give you a reference number.
We also recommend that you keep your own log of what you see, hear or smell - including dates, times, duration and nature (as far as you can describe it - which, we appreciate, is not easy) of what you experience. An effective and efficient way of keeping the Town Council informed would be to hand such a log in to the Town Council on a weekly or monthly basis, rather than simply phoning our Clerks. It will also be helpful if you identify on the log where you live - so that the effects on different areas of the town become clear.
Crown Pet Foods statement: Crown Pet Foods also finds it invaluable to receive detailed feedback from the residents of Castle Cary and Ansford, and can be contacted by phone on 01963 353 305 / 0800 717 800 or by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
