FEBRUARY
Thursday 2nd, 7.30 pm: Gardening Association talk: James Cross from the Bishops Palace gardens in Wells, talking about the development of the gardens. Methodist Schoolroom.
Friday 3rd February, 7.30pm: Castle Cary Carnival Committee, Presentations Evening. Come along and see how we share out the cash collected in 2011! Consti Club.
Tuesday 7th, 7.30 pm: Somerset Wildlife Trust talk: Dr Charles Hill, 'How a wood works'. Caryford Hall. £2 entrance.
Wednesday 15th - Saturday 18th: CATS (Castle Cary Amateur Theatrical Society) production of Guys and Dolls. Full details about ticket prices and booking will follow in due course. CATS website
Saturday 18th, 7.00 pm: Churches Together Ecumenical Buffet Supper at the Consti Club, in aid of The Growing Space, a local therapeutic horticultural charity. Tickets £5, from committee members of all three churches or from Lush Butchers.
Tuesday 21st, 11.00 am: Mid-Somerset Decorative and Fine Arts Society: Dr Tom Duncan, 'Look up, look up! Decorative plasterwork in Britain'. Caryford Hall.
Friday 24th, 7.30 pm: Concert with Kings School Bruton Big Band at the Methodist Church. Tickets £8 (£2 for children, £18 for a family ticket) from Lush Butchers, Needful Things or Bailey Hill Bookshop, on the door or ring 350570; proceeds go to support the church and the visit of the band to South Africa.

Thursday 1st, 7 pm: Gardening Association talk: James Roberts from Abel Willow on the willow industry, with weaving demonstration. Methodist Schoolroom.
Friday 2nd, 7.30 pm: Women's World Day of Prayer service at St Andrew's Church, Ansford
Tuesday 6th, 7.30 pm: Somerset Wildlife Trust talk: 'Reintroduction of Beavers'. Caryford Hall.
Saturday 10th: Marmalade Sale in aid of the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance and Children's Hospice South-West at the Methodist Church
Saturday 17th, 7.30 pm: Murder Mystery Evening, in aid of the Castle Cary Carnival Committee: whodunnit? £12 per head for a three-course meal and some murderous entertainment in the Consti Club. Tickets from Sue Stockman (01963 440472).
